Military Service

The Shepherd Hill Guidance Department supports students who are interested in pursuing military service after high school by providing information, resources, and individualized planning assistance.  The department can also connect students with military recruiters, provide information about the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), and assist with planning for a successful transition after graduation. By offering guidance throughout the decision-making process, the Shepherd Hill Guidance Department helps students make informed choices about whether military service is the right path for their future.

The branches of the armed forces include: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and US Coast Guard. Check out the website of each branch to see if this is the right career path for you. For more information, local recruiters often visit during lunch periods for opportunities to talk directly with students.
