BIOMED Certificate Program

You are a strong fit for the Biomedical Science Pathway if you are curious about how the human body works and interested in understanding health and disease at a deeper level. This program is designed for students who want to move beyond memorizing content and instead apply biology to real medical questions and scenarios. If you enjoy hands-on lab investigations, analytical thinking, and connecting science to healthcare careers, this pathway helps you build the skills and knowledge used in modern medicine. Students in this program are eligible to participate in job shadowing at UMass Harrington.

Technical Courses (2 Required)

  1. PLTW Principles of Biomedical Science
  2. PLTW Human Body Systems
  3. PLTW Medical Interventions

Advanced Courses (2 Required)

  1. AP Biology and/or AP Chemistry
  2. Additional AP Course
