Guidance Information
The School Counseling Department supports students in three key areas: academic, career/college, and personal/social development. Services include grade-level seminars, individual counseling, teacher consultation, resource coordination, parent communication, placement, planning, and records/testing.
Counselors primarily work directly with students, offering individual support, group presentations, and crisis intervention. They also collaborate with faculty, parents, and administrators to ensure each student has a positive school experience.
School Counselors partner with the Special Education Department and coordinate 504 plans. They are active members of Student Support Teams, helping identify and meet individual student needs.
Students can schedule appointments with their counselors in advance. In emergencies, walk-ins are welcome. Parents are encouraged to reach out with questions or to request meetings as needed.
